Spanish Capital :: MADRID

 As planned, there were 21 days towards the Spanish capital: MADRID. We went by car, and take 4h30m to say, in passing, it did very well. Apollo also reach the board was not difficult, with the help of the map to remove the www.maporama.com (I strongly recommend that site for collection of maps and routes). Get a lugarito a parking near the road (2? For 2 hours), and entered the pension ... As the site showed (http://www.aptmadrid.com/apolo.html), the pension is renewed, and still smelled the works ... No luxury, but with a price / location / quality reasonable. Then we went by the popo in a public park that had the underground 100m of the pension where we were charged 15 euros per day. And there we start our program of visits ... I followed the strengths and weaknesses and I think by pointing out:

Strengths

- The Royal Palace, impressive, especially for the Royal arm on display;

- The "Guernica" by Picasso, explained in the Centro de Arte Reina Sofia;

- The Royal Convent of barefoot, where the tour guide provided a very rich and interesting;

  - The card meters "MetroBus, which for only 5euros gives us access to ten trips in the metro network of the city;

- The CHUECA, one of the best known gay neighborhoods of Europe ... It was a great experience the nights we spent there (all), and the atmosphere very relaxed and liberal.

WEAK POINTS

- The foul odor, which will smell for almost the entire part;

- Lack of hygiene, the "taverns" and many tourist attractions;

- The total indifference and lack of effort for us, tourists;

- The lack of spectacular attractions.

In short, visiting Madrid was a good experience but not an unforgettable experience. Compared to Barcelona, and in my opinion, I think the most interesting and beautiful city of Barcelona. Pena does not have a CHUECA, which from our point of view (or were not gay) was perhaps the most positive of the trip.
